Yes, you read that correctly.
I heard it on the news yesterday morning. The news anchor said something like 'President Obama was visiting drought stricken farms in California yesterday.' That's the gist of what he said. Then I heard him say, "Then President Obama opened up his checkbook." My ears perked up. The anchorman continued with, "He promised federal aid for drought stricken farmers."
Now before anyone gets upset and writes inappropriate messages on my page, let me say I have no problem with farmers getting federal aid. My problem? "President Obama opened up his checkbook."

Excuse me? Who's checkbook? If it's federal funds being spent it's my checkbook. It's your checkbook.
It seems to me that sometimes the people in Washington forget whose money they are minding. They seem to think it is their money. They do whatever they want with it. Who are they are accountable to for the way they spend YOUR money? We need to remind them. IT IS NOT PRESIDENT OBAMA'S CHECKBOOK. IT IS MINE.
