I am spending a few days with my mother and I needed the security key code
I logged into my mother's computer and began searching. Well guess what? She has a different provider than I do and her screen looks entirely different than mine. After searching for at least an hour, I finally found the key code. Before you start celebrating, let me tell you that it was all in asterisks and couldn't be read. So I spend even more time trying to find the box that says 'Show Characters'. Not there. So then the immensely sharp brain of mine decided to change the key code. I clicked change key code and put in a code that my mother could remember. Yhew!
Not so fast. It told me that the key code had to be in ascii or hexadecimal code. Duh! I don't know what either of them are. Today, while my mother was gone, I decided to learn what a hexadecimal code was so I could write it. I did a google search for 'How to write an ascii or hexadecimal code'. When the listings appeared, I saw an article entitled 'How to find your key code'. Hello. That's what I need. So excitedly I clicked on and began reading.
First it gave me the definitions and when each should be used. --Don't ask! Then it told me to type in my IP address. It gave three examples. The article said try all three. I did. No, it didn't help. Then the article said to look in your router information for the IP address to get the instructions on finding the key code. I didn't know where any of the information was so I decided to start with the router. I turned it around and in a BRIGHT yellow sticker it said, Wireless Security Key Code.
We had looked everywhere for that code. Through the papers, notebooks, computer. Nothing. All we had to do was turn the router around. We were looking hard, but it wasn't helping because we were looking in the wrong places.
Isn't that the way we do when we're looking for happiness? We look hard, but in the wrong places. We are looking in bars, relationships, careers, children, foundations and numerous other things. Yet we're not happy. We aren't happy because we are looking too hard in the wrong places. Why not look to God to provide your happiness? John 1:9NIV tells us: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us or sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Stop looking so hard for happiness. Just look to God.
