Disguised Blessing

Sometimes we receive blessings in disguise.  It might look like bad news, but look closer.  You might be surprised at what you see.

I had my right knee replaced last year.  The left one has been hurting, but bearable--until about two weeks ago.  All of a sudden, it decided to be a constant pain and get noticeably worse daily.  I saw the doctor last week.  An x-ray indicated that surgery was needed.

This morning I received a call from the doctor's scheduler.  She stated that they had a cancellation on Monday and offered me the slot.  What a blessing.  I will have total knee replacement surgery on Monday morning.  What??? You're happy about that??  Yes I am.  Since I have been through the surgery before, I know that the end of my pain is in sight.  Yes, the pain increase for a few days, but if I follow doctor's instructions and  obey the physical therapist, I will improve significantly in a very short time.  I am looking forward to the end of pain.   I truly thank God for this blessing.
