Several months ago I decided to host authors on my website. I sent out the email. I thought I wrote "If you are interested, contact me." I received a reply that said, "I like to think I'm interesting." Puzzled, I reread my email. I had written "If you are interesting, contact me."
Recently I was asked to review a book.
The book is a great way to teach children that bad things happen to everyone. I'm not sure the reviewer in question read the book. It certainly wasn't obvious from his review. He stated emphatically that he didn't like the book because it could give kids the bad habit of pooping. I was unaware that pooping was a habit. I thought it was a natural filter designed by God to rid our bodies of waste. Now late in my life, I discover it is nothing but a bad habit. Well it is too late to try to change my habits now, so I guess I'll keep pooping.
Several months ago, I read a post by another author. He had used the word 'sale' instead of 'sell'. I messaged him privately and respectfully explained that there was a typo in his post. He wrote a lovely thank you note. The problem? It had more mistakes than his first message. I gave up the idea of trying to help him.
Please feel free to leave me a comment or a funny writing.
